professional storyteller, book hoarder and caffeine fiend
I’ve been stockpiling books, scribbling in notebooks and chasing stories for as long as I can remember. That insatiable curiosity has served me well in a career that’s been anything but linear. Each role has expanded my knowledge, honed my skills and proven my adaptability. Now I’m ready for what’s next.

TELNET WORLDWIDE
My time at TelNet took a few abrupt turns. I was hired to write content and post on social media, but then my superior resigned three weeks after I started. So I did what any brazenly ambitious (if not entirely naive) professional would do: I tripped up the corporate ladder.
I started leading the marketing department and oversaw the creative direction, production and performance of all creative assets, digital campaigns and branded content. I worked with some of the most exceptional creatives I’ve ever met. Together, we challenged the status quo, overhauled the brand’s digital identity and built the marketing funnel from the ground up.

SAVANNAH COLLEGE OF ART & DESIGN
After cutting my teeth in the real world, I decided to go back to school for my Masters in Creative Business Leadership from the Savannah College of Art & Design. The program brings together business strategy and design thinking (I like to think of it as the MBA for creative fruit loops). I’ve been studying everything from the fundamentals of business design and transformative leadership to contextual research methods and risk management. Check out some of my favorite projects below!

COLLEGE OF COMMUNICATION ARTS & SCIENCES
While earning my Journalism degree from ComArtSci, I realized that AP style and FOIA requests don’t really light my fire. After finding myself in the college’s Communications Department, I discovered how to apply all those strategic interviewing and reporting skills to a more creative endeavor.
I collaborated with strategists, web developers, videographers and graphic designers to tell stories with a purpose. We brainstormed creative ways to highlight students, faculty and alumni and built a meaningful brand around their successes. We shared a mission and it translated to our work.

MYNORTH MEDIA + TRAVERSE MAGAZINE
Admittedly, I was burnt out after college. I knew I needed to take some time to recharge and reconnect with my love for the written word, so a few weeks after graduation, I packed my bags and headed north.
Accepting an editorial internship with MyNorth Media in Traverse City propelled me into every writer’s epicurean dream: I tasted wine, sampled food, lounged on patios, rode horseback through the countryside, took to the skies in a hot air balloon…
And then I wrote about it.
